God of War 3 Trailer : Chaos will rise again in 2010
by TheGodofWar4 on Feb.12, 2010, under God of War 3, News, Videos, gow3
I just had a peek at the latest God of War 3 Trailer released yesterday. Just to emphasize, the new trailer came almost a year later. I was slightly disappointed with the short trailer, precisely because it was so short… just above one & half minutes.
The other thing was I was expecting a sequential story type trailer similar to the 3 minute Epic scale trailer shown last February. This trailer is more like a collection of scenes … but the scenes are awesome.
We have our first video look at Hades boss battle with Kratos. The other great stuff is the the fight of Kratos vs Leviathan, the water-crab-horse on Gaia’s arm.
Watch the Trailer below and you can be sure you want to get God of War 3 so bad, you will want to break-in Santa Monica studio armed with the Blades of Chaos replicas. Just letting my imagination go wild.
God of War 4? The joke is on me
by TheGodofWar4 on Feb.01, 2010, under God of War 4, Interviews, News, Videos
When this fansite was launched, I had used God of War 4 as a prank. Now, it seems that the joke is on me. SCEA Director of Product Development John Hight recently spoke with Gamervision about the possibilities of future God of Wars.
God of War 3 will be the end of the trilogy. I have no idea how they are going to make God of War 4, what the story will be about and what time period from Kratos’ life they will take up. I am sure that there will be mixed reactions with some fans rejoicing that they will be able to do more hacking-n-slashing… and some fans thinking that it will be too much of a good thing.
The biggest concern that I have is of the story. This is also addressed by John: “This is not the end of God of War. This is definitely the end of the trilogy, but we are going to continue to do God of War games. We are going to be careful about what we do. We are the keepers of the franchise and we don’t want to see it ruined or polluted.”
I am guessing that “God of War 4″ will be a PSP version. What do you say? Comment below.
The Year of Kratos - GoTY 2010 - God of War 3
by TheGodofWar4 on Jan.08, 2010, under God of War 3, gow3
Its not just the graphics that separate God of War 3 from the other wannabes. There’s more… you know the story, you are familiar with the gameplay… you know that there will be unexpected twists. Here’s hoping that God of War 3 is the Game of the Year 2010. An ode to Kratos is given in the poem below:

Text format:
2010… we are ten days into Twenty-Ten
2010… the biggest year in the history of Greek mythology
2010… the year that will end the tyranny of Zeus
So, my fellow Spartans… arise…
shake off the dust clung from the battle of Rhodes
wash off the blood splattered by the death of Theseus
shrug off the loss of Caliope and her mother…
the Glory of Sparta beckons you.
We have fought many battles…
Tired, weary, bloodied we are…
Pained, cramped & numbed we are…
But defeated… we aren’t…
The Great War has started once again
This time it will be decisive
The Blade of Olympus is on our side
Be it Gods or Titans
It will be their Final fight
Reach both hands behind your neck one last time…
and unsheath the awesomeness that is the Blades of Chaos
Because… it is the End…
and in the End, there will be only Chaos.
Have a safe and happy 2010.
Kratos selling his Blades of Chaos? You want it?
by TheGodofWar4 on Jul.29, 2009, under God of War 3, gow3
As reported in our previous post, Kratos, the God of War arrived in Comic Con as the latest comic book hero. And if that wasn’t enough to get the fans blood pumping, SCEA Product Marketing Manager, Anthony Caiazzo announced a unique tie-up with United Cutlery to create a Blades of Chaos replica.

Kratos, the God of War: Blades of Chaos Replica
“The scaled replica of Kratos’ Blades of Chaos, stretches 20 13/16” overall and is designed with a 12 7/16” blade constructed from solid-cast zinc aluminum with a custom-etched mold texture, and unique fantasy grindings that mirror the piece used in the game. The handle grip is injection-molded and surrounded by an intricate, detailed cast-metal guard and pommel. The Blades of Chaos replica includes a custom display stand with the God of War logo.”
A single Blade of Chaos will cost $123.99. That may sound a bit steep for most guys, but I know a few die-hard fans who are keen to get a pair, just so that they can create their very own Youtube video with themselves as Kratos. The Blades of Chaos can be pre-ordered at http://www.budk.com/GOW
Update: The Blades have already been sold out and it seems the site was unable to cope with the traffic and is temporarily down!
